Connor Kenway arrives — the half-Mohawk son of the Templar, raised in his mother's tradition, entering the American Revolution as someone who does not fully belong to either the colonial cause or the Templar order. The people must be free is the Creed's statement and Connor's motivation, applied to a revolution that will claim freedom as its purpose and fail to deliver it for most of the people living on the continent. AC3 is the series' most politically complicated entry, and the freedom the epigram names is already contested by the second session.
