Assassin's Creed 3: Remastered (Part 6)

The series' most provocative epigram β€” the American Revolution as spectacle, the transfer of colonial authority from British to American hands producing the same structures of dispossession for the Mohawk and other Indigenous peoples. Connor fought for a freedom that was not meant for him. The Revolution changes nothing for the people whose land it was fought on, whose presence was never incorporated into the liberty it declared. AC3 earns this observation by spending the game establishing Connor's specific stake in a conflict that was never his.
