Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Part 35)

The penultimate session. The Cult's last members. The family situation at its resolution point. Prophecy as something Kassandra has been working around for the entire game — the Pythia's compromised visions, the Isu calculations of human futures, the Greek world's profound investment in the idea that the pattern was set before the players arrived. She has been making her own fate across thirty-five sessions. The prophecy never accounted for the Eagle Bearer because the Eagle Bearer never consulted it before acting.

Making your own fate is not the rejection of consequence. It is the acceptance of authorship — the decision that the story being written is being written by the choices made, not by the pattern set in advance. Kassandra made that decision on Kephallonia, before she knew what the journey would require.
