Assassin's Creed: Valhalla (Part 3)

The Order of the Ancients is not a conspiracy of evil men. It is a conspiracy of certain ones. That is what this session begins to show. Kjotve is not a monster who kills for pleasure. He kills for a framework, a structure of meaning that has eaten his capacity for doubt. The cruelty follows from the conviction.

Eivor has conviction too. The difference is she keeps it sharp by questioning it. Valhalla is not subtle about this distinction, but it is consistent. The game keeps placing believers across from doubters and asking which kind of person endures.
