The longest session in the playthrough. England under the Danes is a landscape of palimpsests, Roman foundations under Saxon walls under Viking occupation. Eivor moves through it as both invader and inheritor, and the game keeps staging moments where the history beneath the history surfaces.

Four hours is long enough to feel the weight of it. The stories passed between characters in this session are doing something the combat cannot. They are building a record. Not of victories but of what came before and what keeps calling out from underneath.
