Beyond: Two Souls (Part 7)
The ending approaching — the choice between the living and the dead, the resolution the game offers for the question it has been building across seven sessions. The boundary between Jodie and Aiden has never been stable. The game's most formally interesting sessions are the ones played as Aiden rather than Jodie, the perspective shift that reveals how different the same situation looks from the other side of the cord. Not knowing where one ends and the other begins is the honest description of a life lived in permanent conjunction. Maybe never knowing is not loss. It is the specific intimacy of something that never had a separate existence to measure itself against.
