Aksis, Archon Prime — the SIVA Prime, the Fallen leader who has incorporated the nano-technology so completely that the distinction between the Archon and the machine is no longer legible. Nightmares as the category for things that cannot be aimed at directly — that require a different relationship than the conventional one between shooter and target. Surviving Aksis is the raid's test: not the capacity to damage him but the capacity to manage the encounter's specific requirements while being overwhelmed by its specific pressures.
