The Pale Heart is the inside of the Traveler, which Destiny has been building toward since the first game's opening question about what the sphere is. The answer is not mythological but personal — the Traveler's interior is a space shaped by memory and loss and the specific texture of what the Light has meant to the people it touched. The session is the game finally answering questions it has been asking for a decade, and the answers are earned not by revelation but by accumulation.

The choices that the Ghost cannot revive are the ones that led here — the alliances made and broken, the Guardians lost, the decisions inside the Witch Queen and Lightfall and every season that contributed to the shape of the final confrontation. The body continues. The record of the choices remains. The Final Shape is Destiny's most serious attempt to reckon with the weight of its own history.
