Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate (Part 2)
The Regime's heroes β Wonder Woman, Yellow Lantern Hal Jordan, Aquaman, the roster of people who chose Superman's order over Batman's resistance. They were built by their worlds as figures of inspiration: the superhero as the embodiment of what human aspiration could produce. The game uses them as the argument that inspiration corrupted is uniquely dangerous, that the terror generated by someone who was supposed to protect is the worst kind because it comes with the memory of what they were supposed to be.
The session is the game establishing the full scale of what the Regime has done to its world β not just the violence but the specific grief of watching the people who should represent something better become the thing that requires resisting.
