The Dark Pictures: The Devil In Me
H.H. Holmes's Murder Castle as the setting — the Lonnit Entertainment crew invited to a reconstruction of the World's Fair hotel, the replica built by someone with the same interests as the original. The Devil in Me is the anthology's most purely architectural horror, the building as antagonist, the spaces designed to control and contain and kill made into a game space that the characters have to navigate and the player has to understand.
Who you become under pressure is the anthology's thesis applied to its most pressure-intensive setting: the kill house that reveals character through the decisions made when the options are all bad and the time is running out. The survival is the baseline. The becoming is the game.
