The Quarry: Erratic, Antagonistic & Flustered
The third full playthrough of The Quarry — the personality-driven run, the characters making choices based on their defined traits rather than optimal survival strategy. Summer memories is what the counselors arrived expecting: the last night, the bonfire, the version of the summer that ends on a note worth remembering. Someone else's nightmare is what they became in the Hackett family's story — the outsiders whose arrival on the wrong night triggered the worst version of what the property's history could produce.
Leaving as someone else's nightmare is the horror movie's structural gift: the characters who are the protagonists of their own story are always the antagonist of someone else's, the threat that arrives from outside the system that has been maintaining a terrible equilibrium.
