The Last of Us: Left Behind Part One

Riley and Ellie, the QZ at night, the mall that still has power — Left Behind is the game's most precisely calibrated piece of storytelling, structured around two timelines that the DLC withholds from touching each other until it can no longer be avoided. The fighting in this epigram is not yet combat. It is the thing Ellie is doing while Joel is dying in the school in the main game — fighting to save him, fighting against the infection, fighting because stopping is not available.
