Assassin's Creed: Origins (Part 4)
The assassination targets in this session β Bayek moving through the Order's network, each kill a name crossed off the list, each name a step toward the ones who ordered Khemu's death. The protection of the innocent is the frame that distinguishes Bayek from a man simply pursuing revenge: each target has victims, each death removes a threat that was actively harming people who had nothing to do with the Order's designs.
Three hours β the game at its full open-world density, Egypt spread out in every direction, the list and the landscape in constant conversation. The purpose the epigram names is what keeps the crossing-off from becoming meaningless repetition: each name is a person who was harming someone, and that person is no longer harming them.
