Assassin's Creed: Origins (Part 7)

The Brotherhood taking organizational shape β€” not a transmission from an earlier institution but a construction, built from the specific circumstances of Egypt at this moment, from Bayek's grief and Aya's vision and the particular enemies they have been fighting. Justice inherited would be the Medjay, the existing tradition that was not sufficient for this. Justice built is the thing that has no name yet, that will not be named for some time, but that is clearly emerging from everything this playthrough has been.

Must be built is also the game's comment on the series' mythology: the Creed did not descend from above. It was constructed by people with specific wounds and specific purposes, and the idealism it encodes is inseparable from the grief that generated it.
