Ghost of Tsushima (Part 15)

The Yarikawa storyline concludes in this session and the game makes its most direct statement about what cycles of violence produce. The Straw Hat clan, the Shimura forces, the Mongols β€” everyone in the Yarikawa conflict has a grievance, and everyone's grievance is legitimate, and the graves keep filling regardless. Vengeance is narratively satisfying and structurally endless.

Jin is not a figure of easy forgiveness. He does not forget what was done to Tsushima or to the people he lost. But he keeps choosing the path that stops the cycle rather than extends it, the choice that leaves fewer graves even when it leaves him with the worse feeling. Ghost of Tsushima quietly insists that this is what strength actually looks like.
