Ghost of Tsushima (Part 17)
Castle Shimura. The endgame begins. The ghost has been a myth for the Mongols and a shame for the samurai, but myths have weight and shame has gravity, and everything Jin has done across the island has left a record that cannot be unmade. The footprints are the people he saved, the villages that still stand, the fear that runs through the Mongol camp, the distance between who he was and who he is.
The snow preserves. Ghost of Tsushima's final act is about what gets preserved and what gets lost, about whether the island remembers Jin as hero or as traitor, about whether the footprints are the proof of what he did or the evidence that condemns him. The ghost cannot move without leaving a mark. This was always going to be true.
