Injustice 2 (Part 4)

The Gorilla City arc and the game's mid-section establishing the various factions' competing claims on what justice requires. Twisted justice is not the absence of justice β€” it is justice that has been bent by the specific gravity of someone's grief or conviction until it points in the wrong direction while retaining the shape of the original thing. The smile is the most disturbing part: the belief, genuinely held, that what is happening is right.

The game keeps finding new versions of this in every character's storyline. Each antagonist believes they are doing what justice requires. The distance between justice and tyranny is not intention. It is the specific moment where the method's cost becomes invisible to the person paying it.
