Injustice 2 (Part 5)
Brainiac's defeat and its aftermath β the choice about Superman, the ending that the game builds toward across five sessions. When gods fall is the game's frame for what the Injustice universe keeps producing: moments of divine collapse, the people who were supposed to be invulnerable proving vulnerable in ways that restructure everything built around their invulnerability. The shadows that burn are not metaphorical. They are the Regime, the Brainiac invasion, the specific devastation that falls in the spaces left by fallen gods.
The ending asks whether Superman can be trusted again, whether the fallen god can be restored without restoring the conditions that made the falling inevitable. The world has been burning in his shadow twice now. The question is whether the third time is the last one.
