Until Dawn (Part 2)
The characters separating, the threats multiplying, the butterfly effect system becoming visible as the consequences of Part 1's choices begin to manifest. Trust is the game's mechanics made narrative — the relationships between characters that determine who helps whom, who believes whom, who survives by being in the right place when someone they trusted put them there. The fragility of everything else is the horror premise: the cabin, the walkways, the infrastructure of the mountain retreat built for pleasure and wholly inadequate for what is happening.
Until Dawn uses the slasher genre to make the trust dynamics real — the character who is not believed pays for the not-believing, the person who ran ahead encounters what the person who stayed behind never saw. The fragility is the design.
