The regular Jin, the non-Devil version, the man who is trying to hold together the competing inheritances of his mother's Kazama restraint and his father's Mishima violence. The burying is everything the series has required of him — the decisions made to end the Mishima conflict, the war provoked, the actions taken in the name of the greater good that the greater good does not seem to have been achieved by. The lightness that is not available is what Xiaoyu sees in him, what the game wants for him, what the burden will not allow.
