Tomb Raider: Cry For Help

The island's history — the shipwrecks, the civilizations that washed up and failed to leave, the accumulated record of everything Yamatai has claimed. Anger and memory rather than curse: the curse implies supernatural agency without cause, while anger implies a specific grievance, a reason. The island remembers because it has been keeping records, the ruins being the archive, the storms being the enforcement mechanism of something that has been wronged and has not forgotten.
